VIVA LA VIDA!
Vanaf januari 2011 tourt Tango Extremo met hun nieuwe show "Viva la Vida!' langs de Nederlandse theaters;
deze nieuwe show is een audio-visueel project bestaande uit muziek, dans en film, geproduceerd door Tango Extremo . 'Viva la Vida!' is een ode aan het leven in al haar facetten, haar kracht maar ook haar breekbaarheid. René & Gabriëlle treden als danspaar op in deze show, die wederom een aantal verrassende en spannende muzieknummers ten gehore laat brengen.

In 2008 was de band te gast op het Buenos Aires Tango Festival in Argentinië.

Foreign Band Brings Exotic Music to Community
"Tango Extremo, a music band from the Netherlands, has recently come to Dapuqiao Community Culture Center in Luwan
to present traditional Argentine Tango and jazz music to local residents, which was a part of the series activities of
foreign art performance groups entering communities for the 2010 Shanghai International Arts Festival during the National Day Holiday. The band performed the works of a renowned Argentine composer, the “Swan Lake”, a classic widely known by the Chinese audience, and some widespread pop music. Besides, the traditional Argentine La Plata Tango performed by professional dancers from the band thoroughly demonstrated the unique rhythm and won the heart of the local residents.
Tango Extremo, a special music band from the Netherlands and with great reputation in Europe and South Africa, well showcases the free and wide feature of Tango and jazz music through its Europe-style improvisation and emphasis on personal style. To express their congratulations to the 61st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and friendship with Chinese people, the band performed the Chinese music “Ordinary Heroes” and “Evening Primrose”, which received continuous applause from the audience. During the festival, foreign artists will go to other communities to bring high-quality performances to local residents at their doorstep."
