VIVA LA VIDA!
From January 2011 Tango Extremo will be touring throughout the Netherlands with their new show´Viva la Vida';
the new show is an audio-visual project of music, dance and film, produced by Tango Extremo. Viva la Vida! is a tribute to life itself in all its aspects, its strength and its fragility. René & Gabriëlle will perform as tango dancers in this new show, which will present a great number of exciting and surprising music numbers.

Tango Extremo has been performing in a variety of international festivals.
They have been touring in many countries, among others Turkey, Spain, Italy, Mexico, South Korea and China.
In 2008 the band was invited to participate in the Buenos Aires Tango Festival in Argentina.

Foreign Band Brings Exotic Music to Community
"Tango Extremo, a music band from the Netherlands, has recently come to Dapuqiao Community Culture Center in Luwan
to present traditional Argentine Tango and jazz music to local residents, which was a part of the series activities of
foreign art performance groups entering communities for the 2010 Shanghai International Arts Festival during the National Day Holiday. The band performed the works of a renowned Argentine composer, the “Swan Lake”, a classic widely known by the Chinese audience, and some widespread pop music. Besides, the traditional Argentine La Plata Tango performed by professional dancers from the band thoroughly demonstrated the unique rhythm and won the heart of the local residents.
Tango Extremo, a special music band from the Netherlands and with great reputation in Europe and South Africa, well showcases the free and wide feature of Tango and jazz music through its Europe-style improvisation and emphasis on personal style. To express their congratulations to the 61st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and friendship with Chinese people, the band performed the Chinese music “Ordinary Heroes” and “Evening Primrose”, which received continuous applause from the audience. During the festival, foreign artists will go to other communities to bring high-quality performances to local residents at their doorstep."
